The Atlas iMX8M embedded Linux module, based on the Arm quad Cortex-A53 variant from NXP provides industry leading media capability to cover a wide range of commercial and industrial applications. The module is ideally suited for applications such as, industrial HMI, machine vision and image processing, remote video and surveillance and infotainment systems and set-top boxes.
The module utilises the functional capabilities of the i.MX 8M to offer expandability via the mPCIe connector with SIM support or the M.2 connector with ‘E’ keyway. Connectivity is provided via the gigabit capable ethernet port, qualified IEEE 802.11 b/g/n WiFi module and serial to USB adapters. The Atlas iMX8M embedded Linux module is supported via a customised Yocto based toolchain supporting Omnivision OV5640, 5 megapixel camera modules and a 7-inch display with capacitive touch supporting resolutions up to 1280 x 720.
