Alan Rees discusses Analogue & Micro’s involvement on the SCOUT SV Demonstration Phase programme with Prime Minister David Cameron

General Dynamics UK has been awarded a £3.5 billion contract for the supply of 589 SCOUT SV platforms to the British Army.

Having worked with General Dynamics UK on the development and supply of several items of control equipment on the SCOUT SV Demonstration Phase programme, Analogue & Micro was invited to attend the contract announcement.

Alan Rees, Commercial Director of Analogue & Micro, said: “SCOUT SV is a complex project, and we are pleased to have had the opportunity to apply our design and manufacturing expertise to the development and supply of key items of electronic equipment in the vehicle for the Demonstration Phase of the programme. This very substantial contract award to General Dynamics UK, a culmination of a huge effort by the General Dynamics UK team and their supply chain partners, paves the way for ongoing development and manufacture of SCOUT SV for years to come and is a tribute to the engineering skills base in the UK. The launch event was a great success, and we very much look forward to our continued engagement with General Dynamics UK”.
